K&F Spotlight: The Blazer, "Yours to be Worn" Campaign

Every time we slip on a pair of Nikes, we are reminded by the brand’s legendary “Just Do It” slogan to step out into the world and do the things that make us who we are. On the roster of their iconic releases is the Nike Blazer. First designed in the 1970s, this classic continues to be a favorite within the sneaker community. The beauty of the Blazer is that it’s understated, a blank canvas that provides the perfect balance between style and functionality.

This blog post is in partnership with Nike Sportswear, but all opinions are our own.
The versatility of the shoe is the foundation for Nike’s latest campaign featuring thrifting enthusiasts Xochitl Frazier and Lili Koi, who know their way around styling their eclectic finds. The Blazer is a staple for sneakerheads, trendsetters, and curators of cool around the world because it can adapt to any closet and occasion. The campaign celebrates individuality through a shoe that opens the door to creativity.
Meet Xochitl Frazier (@xochitlfrazier)! She’s a furniture enthusiast based out of LA. Growing up with limited space to call her own led her to find a passion for the arts. Now she chooses to fill her space in the world with music, art, restaurant recipes, and thrift store finds. The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 gives her the freedom to explore on her own terms.
The blend of smooth leather and suede uppers makes it easy for Xochitl to style across looks, giving her the flexibility to go from casual thrift shopping to a dressed up art exhibit. Her home isn’t the only space she redefines, from estate sales to making music and admiring art; with each step, the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 is hers to be worn.
Meet Lili Koi (@lilikoi)! She’s a vintage collector, stylist, and painter who sees the world through a different lens. She finds beauty in the unusual, old, and often discarded items of the world. Prompted by her passion for sustainability and love of searching for vintage gems, in 2019, she opened Cult Blonde, a quirky, “badass grandma” vintage store. She spends hours around town searching for vintage gems; on the hunt with her is the Nike Blazer Low Platform. Its lifted platform and textured rubber sole, which provides stability during wear, will take her wherever she needs to go.
Lili rescues vintage pieces because she sees the value in their durability and believes they can be loved and adapted into anyone’s collection. The Blazer Low Platform simply matches her energy. Its lowkey silhouette and casual design makes this shoe easy to wear and gives her the flexibility to pair them with any piece in her wardrobe.
Sneakers are a vessel, a way to show the world who we are. So now it’s your turn, there’s a story to tell, and you’re the protagonist. You control the narrative. The Nike Blazer is yours to be worn, however, whenever, and wherever. Fire up the kick cam and join the Kicks & Fros #YoursToBeWorn challenge for the chance to win a pair of Blazers and a Kicks & Fros prize pack; let us know how you show yourself to the world.
